The Future is Electric, Blue and Lit Like a Porsche

Meritor early on wanted to enter the electric space. When we began this brand they only had a committee that was talking about how to enter the category. There was no product and no real plan. So we needed to create a brand that had the potential to grow into one of the most important divisions of the company. We were literally looking into the future. Today the brand is the leader in the electric space and the first to be producing electric drivetrains.

We started by creating a name and logo to represent this all-new division. We developed a brand focused on the future of electric and zero emissions. Elements included logo, promotional items, internal rollout, brand standards, trade show assets, collateral and print advertising.

The look needed to still feel like a Meritor brand, but be lifted to the next level. To do that we started with a new photography style that felt premium, futuristic and pretty darned sexy for an electric drivetrain in the commercial transportation space. After creating the brand look and feel we created collateral, even before the products were finalized. As the products developed we started on a tease campaign and introduced it at global trade shows. We are now doing product ads and partnerships with some of the largest OEMs in the country. What started as just an idea has turned into a leading force in the all-electric future of transportation.
